As Jakarta's peri-urban region rapidly expands with new developments, agricultural lands in the region continue to be threatened. Questions surrounding food security and urban-agricultural tensions are central to the future development of the region. Using a series of remote sensing imagery, relevant twitter geodata, and Indonesian trade statistics, this research explores the significance of agricultural land loss, notable societal implications, and policy solutions.
