Evaluation Model of Coastline Tourism Service Value in Guangdong China

Coastal lines have multiple complex functions and value. Based on the ecological value theory, the evaluation of the ecological function of the coastline has become the research hotspot. However, the tourism function of the coastline is often neglected, and the evaluation model and method still need to be analyzed. From the socio-economic perspective, this paper constructs the tourism service value evaluation model of the coastline, and comprehensively evaluates the tourism service provided by the coastline for the people by analyzing the natural conditions of the coastline, the shoreline tourism service facilities and the location conditions of the shoreline. With the help of geographic information system, the model is applied in the case study of Guangdong Province, China. The results show that the coastline with high tourism value is mainly distributed in the area of the Pearl River Delta which has higher population and economy. The sandy coastline has the highest tourism and recreational value. The higher value of shoreline length accounts for 18% of the total coastline length. The east and west part of the region has low population and the economic development, although they have rich natural and tourist facilities, but the coastline tourism service function is lower, but they have the high growth potential in the future. The model has high accuracy and practicability, and can provide the basis for scientific identification of tourism development area.
