City Shrinkage is becoming a global phenomenon in recent years. Detroit, located in the Southeast of Michigan is one of the most famous shrinking city. Detroit lost almost half of is population during the period of 1950 to 2010.Population loss has already caused a lot of issues. One of the most serious issues related to population loss is vacant land and abandoned properties.Cellular Automata is implemented to simulate the transition of the urban vacancy status and its movement.
