Nowadays, remotely sensed data is no longer limited to the static scene the earth surface. A new type of satellite sensor is able to offer us high spatial resolution video data. This type of data product differs from traditional remotely sensed data in terms of both analysis and application. Compared to image data, the video could detect moving objects on the earth surface. In this research, a satellite video data of five seconds has been analyzed to detect and track multiple moving objects. With the implementation of local template matching algorithm, moving objects of fair size and speed could be successfully detected and tracked, based on which, their moving trajectory could also be delineated.
