Due to its high destruction level and big influence range, earthquake is one of the most dangerous disasters that Beijing faces. To establish an effective disaster prevention and mitigation system(DPMS) is the basis of city’s sustainable development. In this paper, it takes the green space system as the DPMS’s source, the land cover as the DPMS’s resistance surface, it also links population density index to evaluate the population risk caused by earthquake in the six districts of Beijing City, and then put forward specific advices to the disaster prevention and mitigation system(DPMS).
