The presence of homeless people on public lands is not a new phenomenon, but the dimensions of car camping has intriguing aspects. Our research tries to understand the dimensions of homeless use on public lands in Colorado. Furthermore, we try to identify the principal actors that shape the social and environmental policy responses.
