This interactive short paper covers the existing theoretical connections between the study of comics / graphic novels and urban geography/architecture (e.g. Dittmer 2014, Ahrens and Meteling 2010). It then explores the work of specific comics artists where urban design, architecture and tactility are important themes (e.g. Joost Swarte, Chris Ware, Pere Joan, Mark Beyer, Seth).
