This panel session brings together geographers working in Nepal to discuss current research projects and collaborative opportunities in the context of development, environment, geopolitics, and culture. With an aim to effectively coordinate and galvanize geographic scholarship in Nepal and the Himalaya, we envision this session as a productive step in making Geography - as both discipline and approach, theory and method - a more engaged practice to untangle and build knowledge on many of the social, political, and ecological challenges widely experienced across Himalayan landscapes.
