The future of the European Union is being avidly debated. Critics of the EU have proposed reforms or modifications to the current EU structure and to some overriding policies of the EU. This paper will examine the reform proposals and the arguments put forward to promote them. The paper will consider the likelihood of adoption for these reforms. Finally, the paper will consider the possible impacts of adoption or non-adoption of reforms upon the future of the EU.
