Spatial organization network of Chinese Eurasian international freight trains

Along with the deepening of the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese Eurasian international freight trains developed rapidly in the five years as an important carrier and a kind of transport organization for the cooperation of management and trade among B&R countries, transportation network is developing continuously and organization mode is maturing gradually. Based on the commentary of related research at home and abroad, this paper analysed the spatial patterns of three types of urban nodes including beginning cities, frontier ports and overseas destination cities respectively, mapped the spatial structure of Chinese Eurasian international freight trains’ traffic links from countries and cities two scales, and then recognized the functional types and hierarchical relationship of urban nodes, summarized the nodes differentiation laws furtherly, explored the facility network and transportation organization of Chinese Eurasian international freight trains through the spatial pattern of actual transport route, finally launched a discussion around “the relationship between Chinese Eurasian international freight trains’ network expansion and infrastructure interconnectivity in B&R countries”, “sustainability of local government subsides” and “the future development trend of Chinese Eurasian international freight trains”.
