This research explores the spatial patterns of food establishment inspection scores within Austin, TX. Employing various spatial statistical techniques including hot spot analysis, the research investigates where food places with high or low inspection scores are concentrated. It also explores for potential spatial relationship between the food place spatial patterns and socioeconomic indicators such as race and ethnicity, educational levels, and median household income at the census block group level.
