Urban areas and agglomeration develop and extend at a frenetic pace and according to a wide variety of processes, Either cities colonize unpopulated spaces, absorb rural area. New form of urbanization appears, new logistic and functioning systems are implemented, which challenges the map makers ho has to invent new "cartographic way" to depict and represent appropriately these "new form of urbanization". this new way of mapping involve a multilayer approach which include both static patterns and dynamic mouvements, envisaged spatially as well as temporally.
