On the outskirts of Taichung, most people commute to enter the heart of the city and live in the suburbs. For commuters in areas with fewer bus trips, missing a bus often symbolizes waiting for a few more minutes, while the bus at peak times is also very large.
The research scope of this study is Taichung city. The purpose of this study is to explore some areas where bus service quality may need to be adjusted from the data through the data of the load capacity. It is expected to reduce the problem of traffic congestion by promoting the use of mass transit vehicles.
The research method is divided into two methods. The first is to use the data of the ticket. The second is based on the service population within a certain distance of the stop sign. Using the above information and the average waiting time for each stop, multiple regression analysis was used to find the correlation.
Use OLS or GWR to find areas with poor model adaptation, cluster analysis in these areas, and explain the causes of different categories by different land use and per capita income, and explore whether there is a need to adjust bus resources.
