Based on the spatial distribution data of headquarters, branch companies, central branch companies and service departments of Chinese insurance companies, this paper constructs a national and regional insurance enterprise network by using the research method of chain network model adopted by the World City Network Research Institute for reference. By analyzing the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of the service value of insurance enterprises, the interconnection degree of city network in insurance enterprises network, the overall spatial morphology characteristics of network and the internal network characteristics of China’s major urban agglomerations, it is found that: (1) the regional differences of city network connections in China are still significant, mainly concentrated in the central and eastern coastal areas of China, while the northwest and southwest regions Participation in city network are weak. (2) The city network formed by different connectivity intensity covers different city areas. The high connectivity intensity network mainly concentrates in the southeastern part of China, which is divided by Harbin, Baotou, Xi'an and Chengdu, while the cities in the northeastern part are at a lower level. (3) There are differences in the degree of internal and external network connection among the nine major urban agglomerations. This is a new exploration of the spatial network pattern of China's city system.
