This poster consists of a formal analysis of the need and location of a Vertical Evacuation Building (VEB) in Cannon Beach, Oregon. By delving into topics along the lines of GIS, Disaster Relief/Recovery as well as Spatial Analysis, the poster aims to show the benefits of implementing the VEB into the town. Also, by looking at the history of the town as well as the geography of the area, the poster will be able to reason as to why a number of factors contribute to the demand of a Vertical Evacuation Building.
