This panel session will examine the trending issues that face all of us as geographers today. Fewer Geography offerings in our K-12 schools has left us with less and less interest by students at the college and graduate level. As geographers we know the importance of a subject that is around us every second of every day. Why has the focus gone away from such an important topic? Why do we at the college level have to play catch up just to promote Geography and attempt to attract students to our programs?
