Interested in learning about the exciting field of Digital Geographies? Stop by this informal networking opportunity from 8 am to 10 am sponsored by the Digital Geographies Specialty Group (DGSG) for some conversation and cup of coffee or tea. The DGSG is looking to expand the range of social events where AAG attendees can meet up to exchange ideas and research. The format for this session is unstructured beyond the commitment of a number of digital geographers to be in attendance. We encourage those interested in digital geographies to stop by for some conversation and a cuppa on us.
The mission of the DGSG is to support scholarship and pedagogy that further understandings of myriad ways that digital objects and digital practices produce space, place, and spatial relations, seeking to coalesce a diverse community of scholars whose work centers the digital as object, subject and/or medium of geographical thought, analysis and praxis.
