Description

We invite papers related to cartography. While this is a diverse field, this year we have decided a general cartography CfP would be useful.

Topics can include, but are not limited to:

map design
projections
color use in maps
types of maps (e.g. choropleth, dasymetric, dot density, proportional symbols, isarithmic, hexmaps, cartograms, flow maps)
visual hierarchy and layout
critical cartography
cartography and art
maps and emotions
web mapping
map symbols
visual variables
map labeling and typography
geovisualization and geovisual analytics
map animation
uncertainty representation
terrain representation
3D map representations

Please send your title, abstract (once you have submitted to the AAG submission system), and AAG PIN to Carolyn Fish (cfish11@uoregon.edu)
