Former program officers from the Geography and Spatial Sciences program (and the Geography and Regional Science program) reflect on their experiences working with Tom Baerwald at the National Science Foundation in honor of his retirement after 30 years at NSF. Reflections will be both personal and professional and focus on how Tom's role in developing geography within NSF, and on the influence that NSF (and Tom) have had within the discipline.
