This year, The National Geospatial Technical Operations Center of the U.S. Geological Survey will be making a series of cartographic changes to the 7.5-minute US Topo. With advances to the automated process, and newly added content, it was a good time to refresh symbology and modernize the 7.5-minute quadrangle. This presentation will cover the development and implementation of new symbology and labeling while addressing the challenges of delivering a classic US Topo map expected by public users. The audience will have a first look at the newest US Topo and learn how to access the Topo TNM Style Template which provides the user with a free ESRI ArcMap template containing closely related US Topo symbology and label rules.
