By collecting panel data of rural contraction-expansion in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River between 1979 and 2018, using statistical and spatial analysis tools to analyze the spatial pattern of rural contraction and expansion in the region, revealing the role of rural development in the region in crossing the middle income trap; taking the two county units in the region as an example, according to the farmer's land confirmation registration data and electricity consumption data, visualize the state of rural contraction and expansion; according to the mobile signaling data, describe the characteristics of daily behavior of farmers in two county units; through the construction of the resilience analysis model of rural contraction-expansion, revealing the resilient mechanism of rural contraction-expansion and proposing the theoretical hypothesis of China's " resilient village".
