Past studies primarily focused on day activities of tourists, which heavily overlook tourism experience during the night time. In this study, we leveraged the Weibo data in Beijing during the year of 2013. First, we applied the geo-spatial analysis to unveil the hotspot of nocturnal tourism, and how the hotspot pattern differs from the hotspot during the day time. Second, we investigated who are nocturnal tourists and how their experience was. Third, a geographically weighted regression was used to understand the activity pattern of nocturnal tourists. Lastly, the implications were provided.
