Description

Using Erie County, NY as our data source, we will explore the geography of affordable housing in Erie County, NY to understand how the patterns of housing location are influenced by private and public practices. Additionally, we will dive into HUD policies, specifically related to the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing report to understand how that influences housing practices among municipalities in the region. We will take a critical look at the impact the AI has on public policies and regulations that influence housing diversity as well as the challenges of analyzing data across scale and boundaries.
