Spatial data science requires modern GIS to be integrated into sophisticated workflows and methodologies. Modern GIS enables extensible and interoperable systems to connect powerful analysis with big data. This paves the way for transforming big spatial data into deep understanding with spatial machine learning. ESRI's platform fuses mapping and spatial analysis technologies with established open-source technologies. Seamless integration between ArcGIS and Jupyter joins powerful spatial analysis and general-purpose machine learning for addressing multidisciplinary problems with a rich set of methodologies. In this session, ArcGIS’s integration with Jupyter will be demonstrated on scientific examples from both Earth and anthropological systems.
