Around the world, organizations use GIS to visualize the built environment, make smarter plans, engage stakeholders, and foster vibrant communities. Innovative cities use 3D mapping of zoning and plausible future conditions to communicate effectively to nonexperts what could be developed through rich visual representations. Attend this workshop for an overview of ArcGIS Urban, an Esri product initiative to create transformative, web-based tools for orchestrating urban development plans and projects. Explore the use of Urban's geodesign tools to create and evaluate multiple alternatives and scenarios, using metrics and performance indicators as feedback for comparison of scenarios.
