This poster aims to help people better understand the impact of COVID-19 on countries and their businesses. For example, we will show how specific policies have protected or limited business. In this poster we analyze how countries have handled the virus, and what the result of their reaction are. This information can help people and organizations to handle viruses more efficiently by contrasting other countries’ methods and success.

We will use spatial data to develop a map of the world, displaying the percentage of bankruptcies in each country since the start of COVID-19 in that country. To explain the change, we will research how countries with dramatic increases or decreases have handled the virus, focusing on their support for business. We will compare certain government techniques and determine which way of handling the virus is most efficient.

Each country has its own unique struggles and success. Through research and analyzing spatial data, we will outline the impact of COVID-19 on businesses around the globe, and through other countries’ examples, help organizations and governments develop efficient ways of managing the virus.
