This video contextualizes the Columbus Community Geography Center (CCGC) within Columbus State University, a highly diverse public institution located in west central Georgia. Established in 2010, the CCGC is housed in the Department of History and Geography, and has met the needs of over 20 community partners by integrating both geography and history in solving problems and concerns identified by community partners. The video explores how this teaching-focused center integrates community-based projects into the classroom and produces myriad publicly-engaged digital humanities publications hosted at the CCGC’s ePress.
