Join us for a very special tribute panel in honor of the late Geographer and past AAG President William L. Graf. Will led a distinguished career as a prominent fluvial geomorphologist and respected advocate for science and policy of land and water conservation in the US. Will wore numerous hats in the field and public arena and interacted with scientists and scholars from a myriad of disciplines. His published science and spoken counsel influenced so many people and decision-making processes at a variety of scales and through these interactions his legacy will persist. Will was a leader in Geography and related fields in the Earth Sciences and a friend and colleague to so many. This special tribute panel celebrates Will’s accomplishments and the relationships he cultivated on his life-long journey in seek of wilderness.
The panel is organized in two parts, the first will include a set of tributes from invited speakers and the second will enable participation from the audience. If you wish to speak as part of the later please contact Kimberly Meitzen to request participation, kmeitzen@txstate.edu.
