The Cultural and Political Ecology Specialty Group of the AAG is pleased to invite you to spend time with Wendy Wolford and Kendra McSweeney, winners of the 2019 and 2020 'CAPE Distinguished Career Award in recognition of long-standing and notable research and professional activities', and with Megan Ybarra and Ethan Miller, winners of the 2019 and 2020 'CAPE Outstanding Publication Award in recognition of innovative scholarship in cultural and political ecology'.
This moderated panel will be a dynamic discussion on a range of topics these scholars are motivated by, have written about and continue to think with. How do we live together with land, with nature, and with each other now and in the future? How can we celebrate collaborative scholarship that moves away from the single-author model and towards meaningful co-production? Who is heard speaking political ecology, and who is not?
Due to the extraordinary conditions of the past year and virtual format for this year's AAG, all four of these outstanding academics have agreed to a shared plenary. It is a conversation you will not want to miss!
