Description

Biodiversity loss and importance of conservation has once again been highlighted, especially since the release of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) report in mid-2019. The planet's land surface has been severely altered with many species threatened with extinction and serious impacts for human well-being. Biodiversity, conservation, and natural resource management are entangled with and relate to various other issues and policies. This session will explore these aspects as they relate to broader policies, environmental governance, and stakeholders.
